Mr. James Edward Bynog, age 82, of Lena, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Services for Mr. James will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Boyce with Revered Donald Lemons officiating. Visitation for Mr. James will be held on Monday August 5, 2019; at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Cleveland Carnahan Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

Mr. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. James was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Edna Bynog; sister, Johnnie Faye LaCour.

Mr. James is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Patricia Michal Bynog; sons, James Michal Bynog (Linda) and Scot Bynog (Mia); daughter, Ann Michele Brawley (Bob); sister, Vetra Carley; grandchildren, Michael Scot Nelson, Stephen Bynog, Joey Bynog, Allison Brawley Comena, Alec Brawley, and Mackenzie Bynog; great grandchildren, Marshal Comena, Jacob and Joshua Bynog, and Declan Nelson.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Pam and Lee Haynes for their care and support during his illness.
