Memorial services for Mrs. Marianne S. Handy will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at River of Life Church, 7001 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mrs. Marianne Steinmetz Handy, age 88 of Cotile Lake community entered eternal rest on Monday, August 12, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Handy was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Frieda Steinmetz and a granddaughter, Tara Tassin.

Mrs. Handy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Evert Handy of Cotile Lake; a daughter, Sherry Reed (Dillon) of Cotile; two sons, Karl Handy (Karen) of Cotile and Mike Handy (Kris) of Centerpoint; niece, Mary Ann Bandy (Sonny) of North Benton, OH; six grandchildren, Derek (Randi), Brandon (Karla), Byron (Aaron), Braxton (Morgan), Matthew (Robin) and Jayden; eleven great-grandchildren, Axel, Olivia, Madison, Jo Anna, Tucker, Stetson, Alydia, Vivian, Jacob, Anna and Nancy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place
Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Handy.
