My heartfelt condolences to Sandra, Ronda and Vicki. I have many fond memories of Sonny. I met him when I was 16 and he was courting my sister. Sonny, after his marriage to Sandra, could foresee the need for a career that would provide a better life that a college degree would bring. He chose LSU . Sandra worked diligently and lovingly supported him throughout his years at LSU where he earned A Masters Degree in agronomy. It was a passion he loved. Dirt, the science of dirt. Their life began anew. They gave life to two beautiful daughters and many gardens with tomatoes and vegetables. They lovingly shared the overflow with family and friends. Sonny is one of God's beloved sons and I feel sure is he is gardening for God now. We will always love and miss Sonny and we felt blessed to have known and respected him.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, one of his passions was conservation of our earth resources and his loving generosity of the fruits of his labors was enjoyed by many.
