Obituary for John Delrie Jr.
Mr. John Delrie, Jr, age 76, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at his camp following a sudden illness.
Services for Mr. Delrie will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Bentley United Pentecostal Church,19578 Hwy 167 Bentley, LA at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Frazier Cemetery, Dry Prong, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Bentley United Pentecostal Church, 19578 Hwy 167, Bentley, LA.
Mr. Delrie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He worked most of his life as a drywall finisher and painter. Since retirement, he has enjoyed visiting his family and friends. Mr. Delrie will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Mr. Delrie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geneva Goynes Delrie; his wife of 42 years, Deanna Westmoreland Delrie; four grandchildren, Brock Burch, Deanna Nicole Delrie, Ryan Delrie and Vanessa Coutee.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children Eugene Delrie (Lisa) of Prospect, Robert Delrie (Angie), Alycia Delrie Burch, Johnnie Delrie Mallonee (Mike) all of Pineville, John David Delrie (Denise) of Bentley, Sam Morris, Jr. (Juana) of Colfax and Tammy Coutee (Teddy) of Alexandria. Two brothers, Sherman Delrie of Prospect and Thomas Delrie and one sister, Jean Wyatt of Colfax. 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Kevin Mallonee, Mike Vailes, Jacob Delrie, Cody Delrie, Roger Delrie, Michael Trapp and Eric Morgan. Honorary pallbearer will be Joshua Mallonee.
