Mr. Donald Gene Littleton, Sr., age 70, of Benton, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Arrangements for Mr. Littleton have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana.

Services for Mr. Littleton will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Dean and Robert Tarver officiating. Mr. Littleton, known as "Big D" to friends and "Poppy'' to family, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He was a hard worker, working for many years in the oilfield and later in construction. He was an avid trapper, hunter, and fisherman. Mr. Littleton was best described as a big hearted, easy going, and God-fearing man and if asked how he felt about this life, he might say, "The best I ever had." He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kirby Littleton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Tarver Littleton; sons, Donald Littleton, Jr. (Misty) of Benton and Daryl Todd Littleton (Sundi) of Bossier; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Dylan, Sydni Ellen, and Noah; mother, Derothy Littleton; and brothers, Albert Littleton (Judy), Marlon Littleton (Benita), and Gary Littleton (Sandy); and a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sleep in Heavenly Peace in Bossier Parish.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Dylan Littleton, Noah Littleton, Jarred Tarver, Goose Littleton, Robert Smith, Raydell Wiley, Robby Tarver, and Wayne Roberts; with Tim Green as Honorary Pallbearer.
