Obituary for Maxine Aucoin (Edwards)
Maxine Edwards Aucoin, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019 at The Oaks Care Center in Pineville. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 5:00pm at Gallagher Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Martin officiating.
Maxine was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished those times spent with family and friends. Maxine's beauty and sense of humor always made her the life of the party. She loved to dance, especially the jitterbug! She jitterbugged herself to the title of "The Jitterbug Queen of Marksville".
She was preceded in death by her parents; Winnfield Edwards and Rubiene Williams Edwards.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Winn Carter and wife Shanon and Steven Carter and his wife Shannon; her sister, Carol Plaisance and husband Walter, grandchildren, Jacob and Megan Carter and Steve and Jesse Carter; her former husband, Danny Aucoin; nine step-grandchildren, three step grandsons, Dane Aucoin, Shalin Aucoin and Brent Aucoin; great-granddaughter, Kambri Carter, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
