Obituary for Donald Wayne Martin
Mr. Donald Wayne Martin, age 71, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit, starting at 12:00 pm.
Mr. Martin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot for 21 years. Mr. Martin enjoyed hunting and classic cars but his true joy was flying. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Martin and Edith Roberts Martin; sons, Donald Wayne Martin, Jr. and David Lewis Martin; and sister, Lorraine Boyt Hess.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Paula Carpenter Martin; granddaughter, Morgan Edwards Martin; brother-in-law, Willie Hess; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
