Obituary for Mattie Ann Jones (Roberts)
Funeral services will be conducted for Mattie Ann Roberts Jones, age 83, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Thomassee officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, Louisiana.
Mattie was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Mattie passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 11:58 p.m. at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her her husband, Sidney Jones, Sr.; her son, Sidney Michael Jones, Jr. and her parents, C. L. and Irma Gardner Roberts.
She is survived by her daughter, Reba McGuire; her son, Johnny “Leon” Thompson; sister, Lydia Klein (Joseph) and numerous nieces and nephews.
