Obituary for Jesse Andrew Richards

Jesse Andrew Richards, age 18, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Funeral services for Jesse will be on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Heart of Worship in Pineville with Pastor Keith Dickens officiating. Visitation for Jesse will be on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home., Ball, Louisiana.

Jesse was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a Junior at Pineville High School and was loved by all. He was known for his larger than life personality with a clothing and accessory style that matched. Jesse loved crazy socks, bright clothes, and his necklaces. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,riding 4-wheelers, rapping, playing music on his keyboard and sports; especially football. Jesse loved his family and the Lord above all. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

Jesse was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Aubrey Richards; paternal great-grandparents, AB and Analee Richards; maternal great-grandfathers, RH Renner; maternal great grandfather, Crockett “Charlie” Best; and maternal great grandparents, John and Elizabeth Slater.

Those left to cherish his memory include mother, Tonya Richards; father, Johnny Richards; sisters, Makenna Slater and Jayla Richards; brother, Corey Nall (Julie) and their child Addison Nall; maternal grandparents, Tom and Janella Slater; maternal aunt, Tammy Desselle (Hans); maternal uncle, Brad Slater (Sara); maternal great grandmother, Naomi Best; paternal grandmother, Christa Ball; paternal uncle, Chris Richards (Shelly); and paternal great aunt, Judy Avery; cousins, Christian Desselle (Eve) and their son Nolan, Taylor Desselle (Jo), Ryan Desselle, Grace, Ava, and Layne Slater, Mallory, Chase, and Kayla Richards; and many friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Tyson Speaks, Matthew Molan, Dylan Little, Cole Young, Travis Trantham and Ricky Wehunt. Honorary pallbearers are Bryce Weathers, Alden Beard, Tyler Davison and TJ Berzat.

The family asks that in Jesse's memory, everyone in attendance, wear crazy socks.
