Obituary for Billy Ray Lonidier

Mr. Billy Lonidier, age 69, of Deville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Services for Mr. Lonidier will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Longview Baptist Church in Deville, with Pastor Robbie Poole and Reverend Josh Sikes officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Visitation for Mr. Lonidier will be at the church on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Mr. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He worked for over 20 years at Angola Prison as a Corrections Officer. He enjoyed fishing but deer hunting was his passion. Mr. Billy will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Lonidier and step-mother Burma; mother, Nelda Matthews; and sister, Vada Kimmey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 35 years, June Ezell Fiser Lonidier; adopted son, Nathan McCann; sons, Paul Lonidier (Carol) of Baytown, Texas and Doug Lonidier (Cindy) of Montgomery, Texas; daughters, Tina Fuentes (Norman) of Houston, Texas and Siobhan McClain (Bryan) of Pasadena, Texas; step-son, Jeffrey Fiser (Kerri) of Deville; step-daughters, Theresa Turner (Alan) of Tioga and Jennifer Lonidier (Robin); a sister, Gertrude Bishop of Crosby, Texas; brothers, Robin Lonidier (Jennifer) of Pineville, Mike Lonidier of Channelview, Texas, and Farron Lonidier of Florida; 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Heart of Hospice for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude in Billy's name.
