Life Story for John E. Stagg

John E.  Stagg
Memorial services for Mr. John E. Stagg will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana with Reverend Stewart Holloway officiating. Services are under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Stagg, age 80, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Grace Home in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Stagg loved his family, his country and he loved music. He served in the US Navy. He was a band teacher for area schools, served as Music Director in Southern Baptist Convention churches, played in the Navy Band in Washington, DC, and even drove Trailway buses for special events.
When he wasn’t involved with music, Mr. Stagg was a Regional Airline Pilot, a Pilot for the local Civil Air Patrol and an aviation instructor.
Mr. Stagg graduated from McNeese University, obtained his Master’s + 30 and also received a Doctorate in Church Administration.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rosejoy Stagg of Pineville; three sons, John Wayne Stagg of Pineville, Gary Gene Stagg of Pineville and Daryl Ray Stagg (Polly) of Sedalia, MO; one brother, Louis Charles Stagg (Mary) of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Caleb and Joshua Stagg.

Friends may gather on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Pineville, Louisiana from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
