Obituary for Nicholas Stephen Parrino
Funeral services for Mr. Nicholas Stephen Parrino will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church in Dry Prong, Louisiana with Reverend Carl Gulde officiating. Interment will be in the Springhill Cemetery, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Parrino, age 61, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his residence in Dry Prong, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Parrino was an avid fisherman who loved being outdoors. He will be remembered for his great stories, which always lifted the spirits of those around him. His world revolved around his sons and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Parrino.
Nicholas is survived by his wife Gloria Hinton Parrino of 36 years; mother Crystal Parrino of Dry Prong; sons, Anthony “Tony” Parrino (Sarah) of Dry Prong and Franklin “Frank” Parrino (Candi) of Colfax; one daughter, Alicia “Ree” Buchanan (Jeremy) of Livingston, Louisiana; one sister Tena Dollar of Dry Prong; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Colfax Reunion Nursing Home of Colfax, Louisiana, Dr. Farley Tumbaco and the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their care.
Pallbearers will be “Bubba” Cross, Mike Spillman, Shane Ward, Jr., David Barnard, Jason Null and Trent Meeker; honorary pallbearer, Buddy Hinton.
