Life Story for Roy Gene Roesler Sr.
Roy Gene Roesler, Sr.
Mr. Roesler, age 74 of Williana, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Roesler was born on April 7, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Roy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Roy Sr. proudly served in the US Navy for five years. After leaving the Navy, Roy started driving trucks for several trucking companies.
Mr. Roy is survived by his wife of 42 years; Fran Roesler; one son; Richard Roesler (LaDonna) of California; his daughters; Linda McLucky of California, Royanna Fisher (Roger) of Sikes, Louisiana; four step daughters; Karen Smith of Dubach, Louisiana, Angela Bowie of Winnfield, Emily Dunn (Michael) of California, Christina Doiron of New Iberia; a very special granddaughter, Chasity Roesler, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Roy will be held on Saturday June 17, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Chapel for Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Following the visitation, there will be a graveside service at Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Williana, Louisiana, at 11:30am.
