Life Story for Haben Joseph Lachney

Services celebrating the life of Mr. Haben Joseph Lachney will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Father Chad Partain officiating. Friends may visit on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will also be a Rosary at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Haben Joseph Lachney, age 77, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Lachney was a loving father and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard from 1961 to 1966, and also retired from Dresser. Mr. Lachney had a good sense of humor and often enjoyed going out to eat with friends and family. He also attended Cabrini Catholic Church and was a talented painter. Mr. Haben Lachney will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

Mr. Lachney is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lachney.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Lachney of Alexandria; grandchildren, Jennifer Pearce (Will) of Alexandria, and Elizabeth Roberts of Alexandria; great-grandchildren, Piper Pearce and Gabriel Roberts; mother, Clise Laborde; sister, Dinah Davenport (David) of Alexandria; half-brothers, Roy Laborde of Hessmer and Terry Laborde of Pineville; niece, Kim Johnson; nephew, Tommy Davenport.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Louise Laborde for the care and compassion she gave to Mr. Lachney and his family.
