Life Story for Kenneth Paul Lachney

Kenneth Paul Lachney
Mr. Kenneth Paul Lachney passed from this earthly life surrounded by family on July 18,
2018 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

A resident of Alexandria for 70 years, Kenneth was a 1966 graduate of Menard Memorial
High School and attended LSUA. He dedicated his life to farming as did his father.

Kenneth was a devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor
Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father and amazing friend. He had a special
talent for working with his hands and a passion for flight. Kenneth enjoyed travel with his
wife, restoring antique cars, flying and RC airplanes; he co-founded the first RC club and
antique car club in Cenla. His creativity and ingenuity were second to none. He will be
greatly missed by all.

Kenneth Lachney is preceded in death by parents Aylwin Louis “A.L.” and Ivy
(Bordelon) Lachney.

Those left to cherish his memory include; his wife of 30 years, Shirley Bradford Lachney
of Alexandria; son, Kenneth Wayne (Anne) Lachney of Springdale, Arkansas; daughters,
Julie Lachney (Jason) Evans of Shreveport, Louisiana and Alicia Milligan Sterne of
Alexandria; two sisters; five grandchildren, and numerous friends.

A Christian wake service will be July 23, 2018 from 5 - 8pm at Gallagher Funeral Home
in Ball, LA. There will be a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., led by Father Ducote.

Services for Kenneth Paul Lachney will be at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor with the
Father Ducote officiating, and a time of visitation starting at 9:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.
